Hello World
Hello everyone and welcome to moshteitelbaum.com, home of my personal website and blog. In programming circles, when you start learning a new programming language or technology, it’s traditional to start with some code that outputs “Hello World” so I figured that would be a fitting title for this inaugural blog post.
Who
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m very curious how you landed up on this website so definitely hit me up via the Contact form and drop me a line. Briefly, my name is Mosh and I’m a long-time software developer and techie. For the slightly longer version, visit the About page.
What
What can you expect to find here? Just a bunch of (mostly technology-related) projects, code, and thoughts that I found interesting or fun that others may as well. As I learn new things, I prefer to build something related to that thing instead of just learning it and moving on. It’s how I learn best. This website is where I plan to document, share, and explain those things. It may be a quick thought which will likely just be a blog post or it may be something bigger which will likely be a project and several blog posts.
A note though... while I say this is a personal website, it will only ever include things that are personal and limited to me. I have no plans to add any content related to my family or work so, for any non-techie friends who stumble upon this website, it’s probably not for you.
Why
So why, after being a technologist for so long, have I finally decided to do this now? The major turning point that finally got me to put this whole thing together was the closing of the health tech startup I co-founded, Pebble. That left me with some time to focus on some personal projects that have been sitting on the back burner for a while, this website being one of them. For a while now, I’ve wanted to be able to write about the new technologies, ideas, etc. that I play around with both so that I have a log to go back to and in case anyone else might find them useful and/or interesting. That’s where this website comes in.
Where
Now that I’ve piqued your interest, where can you go to stay up-to-date on all of the latest and greatest Mosh-related news? Well, this website will serve as the source of truth in that regards. But if you don’t want to have to visit the website every few minutes to see if anything new has been added, you can subscribe to the blog via RSS (use the “RSS” icon in the top-right corner or just use your favorite aggregation tool, such as Feedly) or follow me on Twitter where I plan on posting news of updates to the blog and website.
When
No clue. I’m hoping to update the site and/or post to the blog somewhat regularly but I make no promises. Life has a habit of getting in the way. But if you have no expectations for regular content updates then you’ll always be happy when something new shows up!
Closing
So that’s it for this inaugural post. Glad you stopped by. Please come back often and feel free to drop me a line for any reason. Thanks!
